Social Pathologies: When the Nest Eats the Ants

I am the human ant. Now the story ceases to be personal—not because the person disappears, but because the price multiplies. Signals, institutions, and stories of ‘us’ move millions of bodies in one direction, without society having one body, brain, or experience.

Society is not a superorganism. It contains many living bodies and a shared arrangement of gates, rules, resources, and costs. The arrangement can expand their ability to act; it can also be highly efficient at the wrong thing.

Social pathology begins when preserving the structure or story receives systematic priority over human beings, feedback, and reality. A solution meant to serve life uses time, bodies, and resources to preserve itself. This is a functional and moral definition, not a psychiatric diagnosis of society.
